Midwinter Vacation!

Thursday, January 27, 2011

Who hasn't been dreaming about a glamorous getaway to a warm and wonderful place? It's that time of year again.....to pack up and head out.  I've helped you with your packing by compiling some essential pieces;  chic building blocks to your stylish vacation wardrobe:

Start with a denim pencil skirt like Not Your Daughters Jeans, tummy tuck pencil skirt and a  basic long sleeve tee. Adding onto this is where it gets fun...throw on an interesting necklace,  a glamorous pair of Tom Ford sunglasses (the above beauties are actually 50% off now!!), and a funky pair of flip flops. Keep cool and comfortable with a chic headwrap....I'm in love with this black polka dot scarf! Add a pop of color and keep all you necessary essential right by your side with a petite messenger tote like these adorable Michael Kors bags.

Here's another way to wear denim. I'm crazy about this look....so chilled!
Free People ruffle bottom jean skirt

Vacation is also a time to try out some new spring trends. I'm LOVING the happy feel of  the brightly patterned and floral skirts:

Anthropologie has a massive selection of skirts...time to get creative and daring.

Ohh...so many options to choose from! Big rose pencil skirt, $49, pale green floral pleat skirt $26.99, hankie skirt $135, black toile Alexander Mcqueen skirt $438
FAB (vacation) FIND of the day:
The Luggage Scale $12...no more overweight (and overpriced!) bags.

But for those of us who are not going anywhere too far this year......we can always dream.  Why not escape for a few minutes from yet another snowy day and enjoy these beautiful photos of places I wouldn't exactly mind being right about now.  Oh....and enjoy the really DREAMY fashion inspired by them. So much fun!

Whether you're chilling at home or far far away, enjoy this special time to take a little break from your everyday routine and cherish the quality time spent with your loved ones!
Til next time.....

Sharon
