PRADA RESORT 2012

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

As I've promised on my facebook page, here are some of my favorites from the Prada Resort 2012 lookbook.  This collection caught my eye for its pretty color combinations, perfect pattern mixing and absolutely impeccable ladylike styling replete with drapey sorbet colored knits, palm beach inspired florals and fabulously styled accessories.

Here are some trends to keep in mind, inspired by this collection:

1. Silk neck scarves, berets and classy clutches play a huge role in polishing your look.
2. At the office creamy colored cardigans in drapey knits will be replacing stiff jackets.
3. Gorgeous colors continue to be a mainstay in fashion...deep ones for fall and sorbet hues for resort.
4. The floral trend from last season moves into this year a bit more toned down and slightly dressed up.
5. Think ladylike, ladylike, ladylike!

For those of us who love these looks but can't exactly afford Prada, I've put together some pieces inspired by the colors and patterns of this collection.  Happy shopping! (click on each item to link you to the retailer)

So what do you think about this collection? Love it? Hate it? Feel neutral? Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Have a gorgeous day!

  2. Oh, Prada! Always just perfection. You put together a beautiful look, Sharon. Loving the clutches, but need to integrate them more into my outfits. Always feel like I need to be carrying a bigger bag.

  3. The best part of this collection are the adorable berets! These looks are really pretty, although some of the fabrics look a little too vintagey, like they were plucked straight from the thrift shop!

  4. Love the looks - very ladylike and I agree with Elisheva on the berets (with the scarves!). Your collection is great too - just not sure about sorbet color for me.
