I never really knew about red velvet cupcakes until one of my recent trips to Miami to visit my daughter after she got married. We shared this decadent dessert in a quaint cafe, and it became 'our special treat'.
Of course I had heard of them! But I never truly experienced the rich texture, flavor and color of them, mostly because I try to avoid white flour as much as possible, and cupcakes, unfortunately, are not a part of my normal menu.
BUT, occasionally sharing special treats with loved ones at special moments is definitely a MUST that should never ever be given up! I'm planning on making these for this coming week to celebrate my daughter and son in law coming to visit for Chanukah!
