As mentioned in my last post, on Thursday, I ran to New York to 'stalk' the first day of NYFW. I figured I would take some 'street style' photos and just be in the scene. I never completed my registration and didn't have my credentials so I kind of figured I would wing it. Well, considering that I only had two hours between the time I got to the city from New Jersey and the time I had to leave to be home for my daughter, I was thrilled to be able to get into the Honor Fall 2012 show!! Of course the batteries in my good camera died before the show even started and my iPhone pics just didn't cut it (I included them anyway), but thankfully I was able to get great pictures off the web.
The Honor Collection was full of color, silky and sheer fabrics and lots of long sleeves and high necklines. Here are some highlights from my day plus other great fashion from some of the shows so far. Instead of posting each photo individually (there are so many!), I put together some collages so you can get a basic picture of what Fall 2012 fashion is going to look like.
(Yay! I was in the audience for this one!!)

So are you overwhelmed yet? I was! After seeing only one show and spending only two hours with fashion editors, bloggers and the press, it was obvious that a career in fashion most certainly takes over your life. I was all too ready to come home to my simple and wonderful world. As I happily prepared supper for my family while listening to my daughter's banter about her day in school, I came to the realization that although the fashion world is fun in small doses, it's the simple pleasures in life that will always mean the most.
Fashionably Yours,
xo
