Because this summer I'm trying to balance and multi task as a Mom, friend and blogger, I brought my 11 year old daughter Simi as my plus one to spend some quality time. All in all we had an amazing time.
What a surprise it was when we walked into the gorgeous traditional colonial home and found that the color theme throughout the house was vibrant red and white. Now red is not an easy color to pull off when decorating an entire house, but somehow, every room was done in such fine taste!
Then we stepped outside onto the back veranda and experienced the gorgeous table settings designed by the utterly talented and even sometimes amateur women who just love design like we all do!
Inspired by Chanel
Look at those gorgeous purple orchids!
Sparkling Louboutins at dinner...what a dream!
What makes this water themed table stand is the centerpiece of foam pool noodles, nautical rope and orchids!
What could be better than candy?
According to Simi, not much!
But, Simi's favorite part was the gorgeous pool and the drool-worthy pool house, which we wouldn't mind moving into all year round!
This is the pool house!
I would not have wanted to be a judge because every single table was visually stunning and done so well. But I did catch my breath at the last table, done by these fabulous twin sisters. They don't even have a design or party planning business, and just did this for fun. Check out their work (and their fabulous divine and refined fashion sense).
In the end, Sarah and I were so excited to shmooz up and catch a photo with Amy Atlas. She was so fun, friendly and sweet, just like her beautiful party tables.
All photos in the post were taken my me, if you use any of them please link back to me. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteHi Sharon love! One of my favorite things to do is to go to showhouses or tablescape events ... I was asked a couple of times as an artist to create a tablescape for some big events and loved it! I too love to entertain and I had a BLAST creating each tablescape. Love the pearls around the plates in the Chanel tablescape! Such a fun day for you and your daughter! xoxo Sandy
