Back to Basic Black

Come on, admit it, you do love to wear black. We all do. As much as we may say we love color (oh we do) and we're so darn sick of seeing everyone in all black (yes we are), there's nothing that feels more chic, more slimming, and more fabulous when we're feeling uncreative and burnt out from trying to dress ourselves well.

Wearing black is the perfect go to solution for those days when you're just not feeling your best self and you want an easy way to pull yourself together...and it need not be boring either. Take some inspiration from some of the fabulous ways these famous fashionistas wear all black; and all modest too!

                                                






My faves? Rihanna's coat..Victoria's peep toe boots...and Kim's gold belt.  When sporting all black, do accessorize with touches of leather, gold or grey. Keep your makeup soft so as not to appear too tough or edgy. Black will give you the confidence you need for tomorrow, so you'll be ready to wear that hot pink skirt or orange sweater!

    It's true - all black is my 'I want to wear elegant and not fuss'. The long sleeve side scrunch dress is great - perfect to wear as is or add a signature piece of jewelry.

    As a New Yorker wearing black is part of the DNA. It's always a staple that can be casual, cool or elegant chic. Love the Rihanna coat and Olivia's dress.

    GORGEOUS Sharon! So chic and elegant, I literally love every single one but not a fan of Kim's belt, prefer a more understated belt. Black is my best friend right now (15 lbs to lose) so yes black is a staple and not going anywhere......it is like a mini miracle and hides a multitude of sins:)

    Black is my fav. I have to sometimes stop myself buying yet ANOTHER black item. I wore less black whilst living in the heat of Spain. But now I am back in the UK, it's full-on! ;-)

    Hi Sharon!! Even though I am a total fashionista, I don't really enjoy wearing all black. Yes...you read that right. I prefer browns which look amazing against my golden skin tone. However I really loved all of the fantastic & modestly chic clothing you shared. Thanks for the inspiration dear.
