Friday Food and Favorites: Chanukah is Almost Here, Let's Sparkle!
Happy Friday! Before I start this post I just want to give a huge thanks and shout out to the designer of my new blog header. Her name is Toby Rubinfeld and she is a new graphic designer who is willing do work for you for a limited time for FREE! Email her here: tobyrubi@gmail.com. Thanks Toby...I love it, it's fabulous!
Holiday excitement is definitely in the air. Chanukah starts at sundown this Saturday night and I can't wait. Chanukah is all about lightness overcoming the dark, about Hashem's miracles, and of course, all the decadent symbolic foods (we use pure oil for lighting our Menorahs and frying our latkes and donuts...mmmm). See more about Chanukah in last year's post HERE.
The week of Chanukah is filled with parties, events, games and presents. And we even have a special MODEST MAKEOVER GIVEAWAY in conjunction with Jew In the City's Chanukah Jewish All Stars Launch Party.
And finally...a latke recipe with a twist... how could I not?
Don't forget to enter the Modest Makeover Raffle. Winner gets a free Teri Jon dress and styling session with me, plus $75 to Bitz of Glitz, a makeover by Makeup by Sarelle and hair touch up by Freeda Wigs! Buy your raffle tickets HERE.
Plus, only two days left to enter to win $100 and a Jo Malone perfume...enter HERE.
Have a beautiful weekend and Happy Chanukah!
