Summer Events: Renewal Kidney Donation Awareness and Table...Set...Go

Friday, July 05, 2013

I hope you all had a good Fourth of July and are enjoying your long weekend.

I want to share a couple of fabulous events that happened this past Wednesday, one of which I was involved in and one that I attended. The Renewal event in Deal, NJ, the brain child of Lois Sutton Esq., the mother of a kidney donor who saved his father's life, was to honor local kidney donors and raise awareness for kidney disease and donation. Obviously as a kidney donor who is a huge supporter of Renewal, it was a pleasure to work on this event. I had the honor of working on the design aspect with Revital Teherani, the event coordinator of the Magen David social center, and we clicked right away sharing both vision and creativity.

Our goal was to make this event wow, and with the help of Ram Caterers, Geo Events (lounge furniture rental), Anna's Flowers (creator of the custom ribbons chandeliers we dreamed up) and DJ Ricky Esses (lighting) we achieved our goal with flying colors. Revital worked especially hard to make sure our vision came together as we dreamed it to be.

Revital and me in front of the step and repeat designed by Stacey Gindi of S. Gindi Design Studios.
Did you ever see wine glasses prepared like this before?
Here are the gorgeous orchids Revital chose for the event:
The talented crew from Anna's Flowers created this stunning chandelier from ribbons and crystals:
Finally the event began!

The second event of the day was one I quickly attended on my way home to get dressed for the evening. This Table...Set...Go event is an annual table setting contest that I never miss. This event is the brain child of Marlene of The Jewish Hostess, a fun and fabulous food and entertaining blog. PS she has an awesome instagram, follow her!

Take a look at these creative ideas that each designer came up with:

Pop Art...Pops of Color:
Elegance in the Garden:
(omigosh doesn't this gold and pearl table make you swoon??)

And finally, Passion in Red:
