The September issue of Vogue, iconic for sweeping us out of our gauzy beach fantasies onto the rich and luxurious landscape of Fall fashion, has arrived. There's very little that offers that touch of solace to summer's end more than the arrival of the September Vogue, thick with pages and pages of exciting newness in fashion.
With Autumn comes richer, more covered looks, which translate for us into beautiful, classic, and of course, more wearable clothing. And the September issue was replete with such looks.
Here are some of my favorites. Whether it's an advertisement or part of an editorial layout, these are the looks that captured my eye, and the essence of what appears will be a highly fashionable Fall/Winter season.
Valentino
Dolce & Gabbana
Prada
Celine
Prada
Bottega Veneta
Givenchy
Dries Van Noten
Etro dress, Ferragamo Coat
Fendi jacket, Calvin Klein skirt
Left: Donna Karan, Right: Dolce & Gabbana
Michael Kors
So what would say the general theme for this Fall's fashion is according to Vogue? I would say fierce pattern and rich texture (think fur and more fur). What do you think??
Until next time,

I always felt that the fall issue of Vogue was 'IT'. The must have edition for the entire year and the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteI like the textures for fall - some are in the actual fabrics and some are in the patterns. It's cozy, as it should be for the cooler weather.
I just got my September issue of Vogue and it literally took up the space of my entire mailbox.

The big dramatic prints really caught my eye and the rich colours too. With falling temperatures in the UK, it won't belong before we are wearing our cosy layers!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great edition. Love the bold prints and styles :) xx
ReplyDeleteI haven't picked up the new issue yet, so this was a fun preview!! My faves are the Prada, Celine and Bottega Veneta - yum!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely rich patterns/colors, those cool graphics, and lots of texture. Love the fur! Is it just me or are some of these looks reminiscient of the 90s (but with a twist)?
ReplyDeleteNeed to pick up my new issue - my subscription stopped - but REALLY need to read my Bazar first! So behind in my reading, but fortunately it's still hot weather!!
Gosh this reminds me of something I've seen...like 1970!
