It Takes a Village...

And fun we had. Last week I joined forces with Gitty Berger, another creative and intelligent powerhouse, because after all, it takes a village to create the perfect style post.

"I'm happiest when I'm being creative, and feel blessed to make my passion my job", Gitty tells me, as she magically transforms me, contouring my face and chiseling my cheekbones as easily as if she's sending off a text or starting the car.

Re-creating faces seems to be somewhat of a second nature to Gitty, who also owns a shop in Lakewood, Trinkettes, a fashion jewelry and accessory studio filled with carefully curated pieces in a large, chic space that makes it so much fun to style outfits with the perfect finishing touches. She is an avid do-it-yourselfer, as well as an amateur photographer. It was a no brainer to team up with her.

Together we worked on a series of style posts featuring beautiful and wearable fashion, lots of fun makeup, and a well curated selection of accessories from the Trinkettes collection.

Today's post features this beautiful all-season dress by west coast brand Solika, styled for cooler weather with a faux fur shrug, which was actually a last minute DIY project. The shrug was originally a long vest that I simply cut to the shape I needed to compliment the dress.

The Solika dresses are soft and comfortable, and simplify what can sometimes be the difficult task of dressing modestly and chic. They can be worn loose (even for maternity) or belted, as seen here.

Gitty added a pop of contrast with a bold coral reef necklace and cuff from Trinkettes.

My Zara lace-up booties and Chanel boy bag completed the look.

I love how the makeup look Gitty chose for me mirrors the dress and accessories, tying everything together seamlessly. The silver hoop earrings (and other hoop styles) are also available at Trinkettes.
