6 Quotes that Will Brighten Your Life, Inspired by the Elie Tahari FW16 Preview

Monday, February 22, 2016

At the pace that fashion moves, this post is already a throwback. I mean, as of today, London fashion week is already more than halfway over! But I promised I'd post about the Elie Tahari FW16 presentation in this previous post, so here we are.

The presentation took place last Sunday, in the middle of a bright and frigid New York day. But when I entered the Elie Tahari space, I was transported to a place of pink/violet candlelight, an assemblage of glam chandeliers, and a room full of beautiful people and baroque shadows and lighting. It felt like a swank evening soiree with the classic, yet highly refined Tahari pieces as its centerpiece.

They say that fashion should be more than just clothes, but also an experience. And that's what this Elie Tahari presentation felt like.
"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it." - Edith Wharton
"If you want to give light to others, you have to glow yourself." - Thomas S. Monson
"Maybe you have to know the darkness before you can appreciate the light." - Madeline L'Engle
"Nothing can dim the light that shines from within." - Maya Angelou
"Darkness is only driven out by light, not more darkness." - Martin Luther King Jr.
"Don't let someone dim you light simply because it's shining in their eyes." - Unknown
