Why You Need This Color/Pattern Formula For Spring

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Sometimes finding a great color/pattern formula is so enlightening that you just can't get enough of it. And nothing spells crisp, fresh, and modern more than black and white stripes offset by a vibrant pop of emerald green.

If you take a look below, you'll see that this equation not only creates a striking and seasonless outfit formula, but also a gorgeous palette for decorating. Whether you're planning a tablescape for a party, or redesigning a room in your home, crisp black and white with a pop of emerald is not only visually well balanced, but also evocative of verdant trees and the warmer weather ahead. And I know we're all looking forward to that!

FYI my belt is a DIY. It's the bottom of a full leather skirt that I trimmed myself.

DIY this look at home by painting an old dresser emerald green, an old chair white, and then reupholstering it with a black and white patterned fabric. Add a cool pillow, and you've just created some cheap and chic glam for your house.
