Orange ya glad? Incorporating orange into your wardrobe, inspired by Marc Jacobs Spring Runway 2011

Friday, June 24, 2011

It's ironic, but since I've been blogging, I hardly have time to shop, and as I enviously watch the many fashionistas around me, I seem to be dressing less stylishly than ever.  But if I were to go on a shopping spree, I would definitely buy something....ORANGE! And based on Marc Jacob's fabulous spring 2011 runway show...which brought back 70's fashion in all of its maxi skirt, graphic print,  floppy hat, and orange glory, there is no wonder this color is one of the hottest of the season...

While the spring fashion season is long gone (hmmm the fashion world is already 2-3 seasons ahead of this one), the looks here are still relevant and inspiring...and so MODEST too!

How can you incorporate orange into your wardrobe? Well there are so many ways, as is evident in these street style photos:
This orange dress is so divine, especially when dressed down with a denim  jacket and neutral accessories.

Combine soft shades of orange and unite them with an earthy leather belt  for coordinated color blocking.

Another example of how denim and orange look great together. The unmatched striped shirt adds some creative interest and still coordinates nicely.

And yet another floaty orange skirt, this time standing alone as a pop of color in an otherwise neutral outfit. Use several shades of beiges to keep the look fresh.

Vibrant colors (think orange!) elevate a simple dress from bla to wow. Adding the contrasting hot pink clutch is reminiscent of Marc Jacobs' spring looks
