Sometimes the fashion world reminds me of a strange and illogical time machine. Just as we finally get comfortable in the chic boots and fabulous faux furs of winter fashion, the stores are already selling out the  resort wear(which is basically summer clothes in the middle of the winter), planning the spring collections, and then...the pre-fall collections arrive on the scene (all before January)!

To be in the fashion world you have to live in a different time plane, think in seasonal reverse and basically feel like you'll never really catch up to the next big thing. I guess that's kind of the point. Fashion is for people like me who have a short attention span and need to keep moving onto the next exciting thing. We don't really LOVE the new stuff until it's already going out of style, but wearing it is challenging, fun and edgy. 

If you're not into fashion you may have no clue what I'm talking about, but nonetheless, I think everyone will like some of the Pre-Fall looks I'm about to show you. So yes, I'm fast forwarding into Pre-Fall 2012. Come travel with me into the fashion future to peek at some great styles you'll be seeing in...hmmm...7-8 months from now!

The three main trends I'm seeing here are long coats, statement belts and lots of ethnic prints. And definitely hold on to your leather, fur and booties for next year!
