I was so excited about this post, that I'm actually a little early for my usual Friday Food and Favorites! I wanted to share the amazing evening I had this past was definitely a "favorite".

The highlight of the day was getting to meet Jessica Alba at the launch event of her new company, The Honest Company. I was invited as one of a group of Mom bloggers to preview and learn about this new concept in non-toxic, family friendly, and affordable home products.

Want to know more about the company?
Here's how it works: You go to and follow the easy directions which consist of answering  a few questions, picking the bundle of your choice to be delivered right to your door, and personalizing it to suit your needs and taste (you've got to check out the adorable diaper patterns designed by Jessica). That's it!

I think it's a brilliant concept and just wish they had these products when my kids were babies! Here are some more highlights from the launch event:
Look at the adorable patterns and the gorgeous packaging of the products.

Gorgeous Jessica!

I really had a fabulous time, and meeting Jessica and the other bloggers was amazing. Everyone was super sweet and it was great chatting with Jessica about being a busy Mom and figuring out how to juggle it all.

And while we're on the subject of Jessica, let's not forget what a great sense of fashion she has. Quite often she can be seen dressed in beautiful 'divine and refined' attire:

Now for the food: I want to mention that one of the highlights of that day was going out to dinner with my husband before the event. The place we ate at, Sushein, owned by a sweet friend of mine, bears mentioning because it's the ONLY kosher conveyor style sushi bar in New York.  Next time you're in the city you must go check it out. The food was delicious and the location is in a chic area just south of SoHo, where you can get free parking after 7:00pm. It felt so glamorous driving through the city at dusk and I just have to share this photo I edited on Instagram and took on our way to the restaurant:

  25. Hehe I see that you are doing good buddy, lot’s of good articles. It would be good for you if you could invest in some ads you know, your Google rankings would be better probably. If your budget is tight, try to find other blog owners in similar niches and exchange links. Your blog looks like something that can do it big, it would be a shame if the people don’t see it ;) Have a nice day
