TASSELS FOR PURIM!

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Purim is coming! In two weeks from tomorrow we will be celebrating the Jewish Holiday of Purim which is one of my absolute favorites. On the surface, Purim is a joyous day of parties, costumes and sharing creative food packages with our friends. But there is a much deeper spiritual meaning to the day. It is a day that represents great miracles...just when things seem to have been at their bleakest, Hashem made a huge miracle and the terrible times were reversed to joyous times in the blink of an eye.

This message of hope and miracles is the reason for all the festivities, and one of the ways that we celebrate is by sharing Shaloch Manos (food packages) with our friends. Well, for those of us that love beautiful party ideas and creative challenges, coming up with a 'theme' or gorgeous package idea can be part of the fun.

But for those people that are just too busy or need a little help in the area, there's Tassels Home Decor. Esti from Tassel's can create the most beautiful Shaloch Manos packages for you. She has a whole variety of ready made packages, but she can also custom make them to your specification

I've been following Tassels Home Decor on Facebook for a while and we've recently become friends through our mutual admiration of each other's work. Her creativity and designs are just gorgeous and now you will have a chance to win a Shaloch Manos package of your choice (up to $50)! All you have to do is friend request Tassels Home Decor on Facebook and then tag yourself in THIS PHOTO in their timeline:

Then comment on the photo that you want to win!

Here are some of her gorgeous gift choices...and remember, each one can be customized just for you!

Tassels Home Decor also has a full line of gorgeous pieces for your kitchen and home so DO check out their website and let me know which pieces you love.
Here are some of my favorites:
And don't forget to enter to win your own Shaloch Manos package by friend requesting Tassels Home Decor on Facebook, tagging yourself in the contest photo (as seen above) on her timeline and commenting that you want to win!

I hope this post inspires you to get creative with your Purim plans. I'd LOVE to hear about some of your Purim theme ideas, so please feel free to share them with me by commenting here!  And remember that it's never worth it to feel pressured to do more than you can manage (and you can always get help from Tassels Home Decor ;). Whatever you decide to do, it will be good enough!

Until next time,
xo

  5. It's really interesting to learn more about the Jewish faith. There are so many fun traditions. Jewish families seem to be all about "family" which I LOVE. xo
