Friday Food and Favorites: A Quick and Healthy Lunch Plus Things I'm Grateful For

Friday, November 30, 2012

Happy Friday! Today I want to talk about things I'm grateful for. I'm grateful first and foremost for health and family. I'm grateful that the sun is shining, that I went out last night and had a great time and woke up feeling great even on 4 hours of sleep. I'm grateful that Shabbos is coming and I'll be able to catch up on sleep. I am grateful for the coffee sitting next to me as I write this. I could go on and on....

And today I am especially grateful for my wonderful sponsors who took the chance to partner with me here on Fashion-isha. It is a dream to work with the fabulous companies like Karen Michelle, ModestMara, Poshtop, and Adea;  and now my latest and greatest: Kiki Riki, Junees, Teri Jon and Rochel Robbins Insurance Agent (tel: 410-602-7723)! And I am so grateful to you, dear readers, who visit me blog, comment and have become close blog friends. Whether from a quiet distance or openly nearby, I appreciate you all. You inspired me.

So I'd like to introduce you all to these amazing companies. Click on their links, visit their sites, and like their Facebook pages. (See side bar of this page) You will find every type of shell, beautiful clothing, and a fabulously fashionable insurance agent who will help you with some of the more unglamorous, yet highly necessary areas of your life. And keep tuned for upcoming posts about each one of them. I am a supporter of strong women in business and believe we're all connected and need to get connected!

Now let's talk about food!
The Fridays are short and who has time to eat a healthy lunch? Well, I know for myself, if I don't take the time to feed my body what it needs, it will surely rebel later. When I spotted this photo in Pinterest I was reminded that even with little effort and time it's possible to grab a healthy and delicious lunch. A healthy avacado sandwich on whole grain bread, customized to your liking, is simple, delicious and and filling. Remember, if you don't take care of yourself you won't be able to take care of others!

So whatever your plans are for this weekend...

...whether you're going out...

...or staying at home...

...be grateful, get some rest, and have your best Shabbos/weekend ever!

Until next time,
xo

  9. I actually have that every day for lunch! I smash avocado on a piece of bread, then I slice tomatoes. I sprinkle a tiny bit of salt & pepper and add a dash of tapatio hot sauce. It's SO good!! :)
