So how do you celebrate Thanksgiving? Do you host a glamorous soiree with lots of friends or do you keep it simple by enjoying a warm dinner with just your immediate family?
Either way there's nothing more fun than throwing a dinner party, and my favorite part of that is setting a beautiful table. You don't need to create anything too grand to make the party great; sometimes it's the little details that make all the difference. Here are some inspiring ideas to spark your imagination and get your creative juices flowing.
Use black construction paper and a white crayon for a classy chalkboard effect:
Popcorn kernals! What an innovative element for table decor:
Get creative with containers to hold your napkins and cutlery:
Simple craft store elements like appliques and ribbon make the best napkin rings:
Look no further than your kitchen cabinets and the grocery aisles to create stunning centerpieces:
Use natural elements like cork, moss and shells to add texture to your table:
And here's a fun and decorative mini pie recipe to end off your evening: Recipe HERE
Thanksgiving is great. But me personally? I try to make every day Thanksgiving. Incorporating an attitude of gratitude into your life on a constant basis will most certainly change your life for the better. Even the negative things in your life can be viewed as blessings if we appreciate them as opportunities for personal growth. So Happy Thanksgiving to all! Let this day be a model (minus all the calories) for every day of our lives!
Until next time,
xo

Love the idea of using antique trophies on a buffet!!!
ReplyDeleteThe corn is really unusual, but it looks festive like this, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteSuch great finds. I saved that corn and leaf candle photo. Might try it for our thanksgiving table.

What a lovely way to end this Thanksgiving post, Sharon. Your attitude of kindness and sincerity are always evident in everything you do. I love the photos ... I usually am the one cooking Thanksgiving dinner but because this year I still have a kitchen on the verge of being gutted, we get to travel out of town. I love the tall placecard holder in that first photo, how stunning it is! Have a lovely Thanksgiving, darling. ~xoSandy

This is helpful!! I have not even thought of my table setting and I usually love to enjoy and plan it out. Sometimes begin a single mom has it's setbacks, like no time! I am going to squeeze in some time to make play with my table!!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas, though I'd use the "flameless" candles for the popcorn presentation. Maybe this wouldn't happen but I'd hate to "pop" the corn unintentially. "Flameless" ("heatless/burnless") candles are so wonderful to put all around the house, esp when you have kids - no worries but all of the ambience!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table setting! It made me want to cook a gorgeous dinner;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment and following me darling. I follow your amazing blog back
