Resort 2013 - It's Time To Get Away In Style

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Everyone needs a vacation. Whether it be staying at home relaxing or going somewhere far away, taking a break and experiencing a change of pace is so necessary to our mental well being, especially in the middle of the winter.

As winter break comes upon us, we will be busy trying to entertain our families and figuring out how to  make the best of our vacation time. Of course the ultimate fantasy is to fly off to some luxurious resort, but alas, that is not a realistic option for most. I got lucky this year when my husband decided to buy me and my 17 year old daughter tickets to Israel for her mid-winter vacation.
But aaah, what to wear? Well in the crazy, upside down world of fashion, the Resort 2013 collections have been out for months. But I tucked away some nice choices to post right about now, when 'resort' is actually on our minds.
Truth be told, most of these 'resort' looks are quite glamorous and not exactly what I'd have in mind for a vacation with my teenage daughter. Nonetheless, have some fun checking out the wide variety of styles in these collections.

I would wear the first dress to lunch in an outdoor cafe and the second outfit to dinner.
Aah..Burberry, I'd wear these outfits anywhere.
Here's a really cool look for drinks and dinner.
 Marios Schwab Resort 2013

I'd wear this on Shabbos day.
 Gucci Resort 2013

And this on Friday night:
 Michael Kors Resort 2013

Here are three cool looks for shopping or sightseeing:
This looks so comfortable, perfect for Shabbos afternoon:
 The Row Resort 2013

Okay, honestly? These outfits make me think of work, not resort!
Here's a great dinner outfit:
 Willow Resort 2013

Finally, some cool looks with a warm vacationy feel.

And remember, where ever you may go, please drop a line and do keep in touch!

Bon voyage!

Until next time,
xo

  5. Love the Nina Ricci and Phillip Lim outfits - though I'm generally far more casual than that and I'd probably never wear any of them on holiday. I can see you in them though... :-) xo

  16. Such a beautiful array of outfits! The Row looks SO comfy and perfect for lounging. I do agree that some of the resort where that we see isn't really practical. If you are staying in the topics, most people enjoy linens and flip flops!

Your trip sounds so fun Sharon.. lucky you! I'm sure there will be plenty of occasions to wear something a little fancy;)
