Wedding Wednesday: A Peek Into Spring Couture

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Caution: This post is NOT for the faint of heart. The decadent gowns shown here, from some of the most fabulous Spring 2013 Couture shows, encompass both dramatic and delicious fashion and somehow still remain wearable and modest.

I personally am blown away by the 'eye-candiness' of these dresses and from my observations, the features most on trend for this season's couture include ruffles, lace, gold and feathers....SWOON!  I am happy to share some of my favorites with you!

Of course it's Valentino that always seems to get it when it comes to the creation of modest design that epitomizes both classiness and a dramatic flair:
Valentino's talent in design seems to run way beyond the scope of just fashion, as seen below in these Architectural Digest photos of his glam French Chateau:
DOUBLE SWOON!!

And, finally, here's to making a dramatic exit...why choose just metallics or feathers when you can heave both!

Which collection is your favorite? What gown would you wear?

Have a beautiful day!

  1. I've just done a post on "Flawless" which is exactly what the Valentino Collection represents to me. I love the very dramatic black cage cape, but truly I would wear every single piece, I think.

  4. Valentino should receive some sort of award for creating such lovely, modest gowns. As should Elie Saab! Great post.

Also, I really liked the second gown of the fisrt designer. Thanks for sharing these my stylish friend. Oh! And the gorgeous Valentino villa. Wouldn't it be fab to stay there?!

  9. OH DEAR....I have to say that the white ensemble with the jacket and lacy skirt is my favorite, but I could wear anyone of these! You are giving me some ideas here as I was just commissioned to do another paper dress for a bridal show! This time it will be a bride's maid dress. LOVELY, SHARON! Anita
