Tassels!

It's graduation season and I've been inspired by tassels! There are so many interesting ways that tassels can be used, and as many so-so trends come and go, I find tassels to be one of my favorite and fun ways to incorporate some sass and style into your look.

Of course I've always been big on accents and accessories. The type of  watch or necklace you wear can make a statement about your style that's bigger than even the clothes you're sporting. With unique accessories and style elements, you can build an interesting wardrobe just by using some of your basic go-to pieces that you already have in your closet. And using tassels is a great way to achieve this!

Here are some of the tasseled looks I've enjoyed and been inspired by:

Add some tassels to a headband...

 ... or wear them on your wrist.
 Tie your shoes with them...
 (Fendi Shoes)

...or wear a tasseled necklace.
Hang them off your bag...
...or the back of a chair.

And in honor of those who graduated this year, congratulations! And remember...

    This is such a fun post a nice tribute to all graduates:) Tassels are lots of fun and I like all these options for displaying them. The possibilities are endless! My daughter graduated from college this weekend (a few pics are up on my blog post) It's bittersweet.. so many emotions but we couldn't be happier.

    Lots of parties going on this month and I'm looking forward to things quieting down a little.

    I love tassels too and your picks.I have a necklace from allsaints with tassels that's just awesome and a bag. I have to add them on a headband too. It's beautiful <3

    Good am Sharon! What a fun post. :) I really like the headbands with tassles. Would love to try that one. It's so Nicole Richie whose style I love. Tassels on the heels was neat to. Thank you for the inspiration. I should create some tassle jewelry.

    I do have a tassel necklace I love. I will have to show the hair photo to my daughter who is 17 and has the whole Bohemian look down. I think she'd like it! xo

    I have a faux pearl necklace that has pearl tassels as the end - very Tiffany Gatsby inspired style. There is something about wearing it that seems a bit more carefree and sassy.

    I hang tassels off of doorknobs, lamps etc, haven't thought about doing it with personal accessories; great ideas. ( I have had handbags with tassels now that I think about it!)

    Since I collect antique tassels you know I love this post. I have tassels hanging everywhere in my studio and love draping several sizes from the end of a curtain rod. Congratulations to your graduate Sharon.

    I've always loved tassels! I went through a showhouse once and they had elaborate tassels hanging from each doorknob.
