Happy Fourth of July!

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

Welcome to the annual 4th of July red, white and blue post! It's time to celebrate the birthday of this great country of freedom and independence. Who doesn't love a great barbecue and fireworks? What are you doing to celebrate?

How about celebrating in style by sporting one of the best color combinations ever?  Do you think dressing in red, white and blue may be a bit too kitchy? Themey? Perhaps, tacky? Well think again!

Here are some fabulous looks worth celebrating, and honestly, I'd probably wear every single one of them...starting with these amazing shoes!

You can also shop red, white and blue right here on the blog (below) by clicking on each item in the collage I created just for you.

Go ahead, shop some of my favorite choices by clicking on each item below:
And for those of you planning a holiday barbecue here's a fun tablescape to get inspired by:
Creative 4th of July Tablescaping Tips:
1. Use a swatch of patterned blue fabric as a vibrant table runner.
2. Wrap tin cans in twine for cool textured vases filled with the brightest red flowers you can find.
3. Use extra twine to tie your napkins and accent with treasures from the beach.
4. Start your meal with fresh and colorful fruit. Use a cookie cutter for start shaped watermelon slices.

Bon Apetite!

Would you wear a red, white and blue outfit? Which ones are your favorites? What are some of your 4th of July entertaining ideas? Leave a comment below!

Until next time,

xo

  8. Amazingly compiled looks, thanks! I confess I'm not a red-white-blue combo person for outfits, but these looks are so inspiring! I feel the sudden urge to shop!!

The shoes are not for me, but the next 3 outfits are darling, definitely things I'd wear. I also adore the mixed prints with the floral skirt!!

Also thanks for the entertaining ideas!I plan to incorporate some of your great tablescaping ideas for our evening of watching fireworks from our building's rooftop's pool at the beach. Have a wonderful and safe 4th with you and your family!

  11. I absolutely love 4th of july looks. They sort of invoke that all-American, nautical vibe. My favorite are the looks from Atlantic-Pacific! thanks for sharing and I hope you had a great long weekend!

  12. Hi Sharon ... If I were American I'd definitely celebrate and wear the colours. My fave here is the polka dots with the huge clutch.

Hope you're having a fabulous week.
