Fur vest over Maxi

Thursday, October 02, 2014

I recently acquired a fabulous wool maxi dress from Pashmina Collection. And while the dress is amazing in its own right - think super flattering silhouette and gorgeous open back design that gives an under shell a life of its own - I was dying to try the fur-vest-over-maxi look that's so on trend for this season.

With a myriad of faux fur vests on the market (I recently walked into my local H&M and purchased two such vests for under $100), there are endless methods of styling them, and as someone who rarely sports to-the-floor skirts, I was excited to change things up and try this look with my new Pashmina Collection dress.

PS - In the past I usually saved my fur vests for colder days, only to realize that they really didn't do much to keep me warm. I learned that this look is perfect for those transitional days, when there's just a slight chill in the air. Take advantage and enjoy now!

Here are some of the looks that got me inspired to try this trend in the first place:

The nice thing about H & M is they offer fun trends at a reasonable price. Could see this vest over a belted blazer too.
