For our Moms birthday, my sisters and I decided to try something a little different. After finding out about a master makeup class at Henri Bendel with Juan Carlos, the international makeup artist for Laura Mercier, we decided to surprise my mother and take her to the city for the class. 


As we arrived in the city, the excitement was brewing as my Mom still had no idea what the plans were. As soon as we entered Henri Bendel my Mother zoomed straight to the Laura Mercier counter and asked for a makeover. My sisters and I were trying to hint to her that maybe we should do this a little later. But she kept on insisting she wanted to look "beautiful" for the day. Finally after begging her to do her 'makeover' later, I had to secretly tell the makeup artist that our plans were to surprise Mom. 


Needless to say the class was fabulous. They served wine, cheese and fruit. And I even brought my own favorite kosher Rashi wine so we could partake in the fun.

After the class we all had our makeup done and learned some great tricks and tips. As a makeup artist, it was nice for me to get pampered and have my makeup done.

I followed Juan Carlos around like a little puppy dog trying to pick up any tips I could find. He is one of the sweetest and humble artists around and I felt so privileged to meet him.
All in all it was a fabulous day and very cost friendly as well. 
(The cost of the class was $50, which went towards purchases.)

So what tips can I share with you? Here are three must have Laura Mercier products that will change your look, and tips for using them:
 
1. For a dewy (but not too shiny)look, use RADIANCE PRIMER under your foundation. Every woman should have this in her makeup bag. 


2. Use SECRET BRIGHTENER under your concealer. It will help cover dark circles and has a plumper that fills in those fine lines.


3. For an intense eye, use CAKE LINER - I loved how Juan used this to make the perfect cat eye.

    LOVE this. How lucky is your Mom to have such gorgeous and thoughtful daughters? I will have to try the primer. I use her foundation and LOVE it!! It's the best stuff in the world. xoxo
